North Turramurra is a suburb of wonderful diversity. We have a number of families with young and teenage children living in our community, it is a fantastic suburb to raise a family, with its natural beauty, sense of space and access to recreation facilitites. We also have a high proportion of elderly residents, who live in mini-villages such as The Landings, Eden Ridge, Huon Park and The Cotswalds.
While the good news of Jesus hasn't changed for the last two thousand years, it's fair to say that styles of Church services have. We are acutely aware that for some people a traditional prayer book service is the most helpful service for them to engage with God, and for other people they find a more contemporary, less traditional style, more helpful..
To reflect these different demographics and preferences of North Turramurra residents, every Sunday we host three services in two locations. At 9:30am, our 'family-friendly', contemporary-style congregation meets in the school hall at Turramurra North Public School. We say 'family-friendly', because it has a fully supervised program for children and youth from infant age right up until late high school age. We also run two traditional services in the Chapel of Lady Davidson Hospital. At 8:00am, every Sunday we conduct a full 1662 Book of Common Prayer service with Holy Communion. At 4pm, we run a service of prayer, praise and hearing from God's Word, often featuring guest speakers and music from the choir at The Landings.
